The past continues to inform the future as this first look at the Nike Cygnal hiking Boot Dynafit reveals some clear-cut inspiration from past icons of the Swoosh’ off-road capabilities. The Cygnal Coffee, revealed here from official Nike images, makes use of the some key design features of the Magma and Meriwether above a completely redesigned sole.
The mid-cut Boot Dynafit is built with an all-suede upper with Nike Air debossed onto the ankle instantly reminding us of the ACG Magma, one of the pioneer Coffees of the All Conditions Gear sub-brand. The conventional lace eyelets and the wrapping mid-foot is akin to the Zoom Meriweather that debuted in the early 2010s and designed by Nathan Van Hook. The bottoms are where the Cygnal distinguishes itself as it features a modern, chiseled aesthetic made of a unique rubber compound made exclusively for the trails.
The Baroque Brown/Black/Malachite colorway seen here will be releasing late Fall/early Holiday 2024 for $180. Joining this colorway will be three others — a “Light Orewood Brown” and “Desert Ore”. Photos will be updated once they surface.
