The adidas Samba is an inescapable shoe. From indoor soccer pitches to runway shows, the terrace classic has relished in mainstream popularity to an extent other brands simply can’t ignore, spawning a broad revival of archival models that aim to enjoy similar success. Nike’s answer to the Samba is the Field General, and if it weren’t already obvious, the Beaverton brand is touching down with another fresh colorway that borrows directly from the Samba Raygun.
Official images reveal a black leather base and “Sail” Swoosh atop gum soles, honing in on an essential combo currently dominated by the Three Stripes. Notably, Nike released an inverted colorway featuring a white base earlier this year, taking after the Samba’s other most popular makeup.
If you’re a fan of the Samba aesthetic but want to stand out with a lesser-known model, look for these to release via Nike on October 1st for $100. See official images below and turn to our “Where To Buy” section for purchase links on that date.
