Next up is the XT-Mary, Maison Margiela flipping the outdoorsy XT-4 silhouette into a true Mary Jane style for Fall.

A strip is taken out of the trail runner to achieve the open dorsal look, with an additional closure strap affixed to the top of the “lace-stays” to round out the transformation. Otherwise, the classic construction remains, creating some Chukka dissonance between the techy aspects of Salomon’s original design and Maison Margiela’s rebrand of the shoe as a runway-ready style.
Billed as a unisex style, the XT-Mary arrives in two debut colorways, creating Chukka contrast between the ultra-vibrant pink & yellow and a stealthy all-black arrangement. Look for the Margiela Salomon XT-Mary via Margiela and Salomon TRAIL on October 17th, with select partnering boutiques also receiving stock. Retail is set at $410.
