Three signature shoes in a span of three years is what Nike has done in terms of Retroing the Nike Griffey signature line. The ankle strap has been removed, but you can still see Griffey’s ’24’ embedded into the upper ankle where the strap would be. Nike’s super-lightweight Torch material also inhabits sections of the build, obviously giving these a lighter overall package. The most daunting alteration is clearly the 360-degree Max Air unit, which plays a role in the comfort side of things. Two colorways are confirmed for this Summer 2011 season; a Black/Black-Varsity Red for April and Cool Grey/Neon Yellow-Dark Charcoal in May – both with a pricetag of $150.
