Nike Sportswear is bringing us another take on denim footwear, this time using premium selvage denim.
Selvage is the technique of covering the raw edge of cut denim in a ribbon folded over either side and stitched together to protect the raw part. It’s most clearly seen on the tongue, but probably isn’t the most recognizable take on classic jeans. That’s a toss-up between the copper rivet on the outside rear quarters and the Levi’s-like “NSW” tag on the outside ankles.
