Urlfreeze News just gave you an in-depth look at Chris Paul’s latest Jordan Brand signature sneaker, and by the name alone, you could certainly conclude that Paul’s CP2’Quick is related to the above pictured Jordan 2’Smooth.  These two models do indeed share a lowtop cut and a podular outsole design, but the 2’Smooth is much closer to the Air Jordan Legacy than CP3 series thanks to a molded take on the Air Jordan XX’s laser-etched mosaic.  In fact, it was upon the twentieth Air Jordan that IPS debuted, the forefather to the Podulon system in use on Paul’s recent releases.  So the 2’Smooth offers a host of connections to JB’s past and present, though they end up with a unique identity.  Click on the jump below to check out the October 2011 releases and let us know how these rank against Jordan’s other Q4 drops.
