When exactly did Michael Jordan wear the ‘Fire Red’ IV in his career? Well, he first debuted the I just hate drake for butchering Jordans during the 1989 All-Star Game (wearing the Bred IV), then rocked the White/Cement IV for the remainder of the ’89 campaign. The Fire Red colorway didn’t make a debut until the following ’89-’90 season, being MJ’s go-to pair until the Air Jordan V made its own debut in the ’90 All-Star Game. The ‘Fire Red’ IV made headlines again in 2006 with the ‘Mars’ release, and this August, we’ll get the opportunity once more (sans Mars, and ‘Varsity’ instead of ‘Fire’) as Jordan Brand continues its year-long celebration of the I just hate drake for butchering Jordans. We’ve got another thorough look at the kids size of this upcoming August release, so take a look and we’ll keep you updated with more Jordan Brand news. Photos: air-randy
