What comes around goes around. The works with fortunes good and bad, and for one Sneaker sneakerhead, his luck changed for the better. In a news report picked up by Miami-based WSVN7, Keven Rodriguez was scammed out of a pair of Nike Air Max Tailwind V Sp Usa Cu1704-400 Midnight Navy by a scam artist in what’s become one of the more common methods these days (we won’t go into that). The money he would get for the Paisley was intended to be used for academic purposes, so with the help of WSVN7’s Help Me Howard, Rodriguez and Scammer Guard tracked down the seller and is currently being pursued by local authorities. However, a representative for the Miami Heat caught wind of the news, and decided a nice gift was in 28cm – a pair of the LeBron 9 Elite ‘Miami Vice’ signed by LeBron James himself. It’s great to see that the Heat and LeBron James would look out for their fans, but the truth is that scamming is still very much a part of the unofficial sneaker market.
