If there ever was an entry into the Air Jordan lineup that could benefit from a slimmed down version, the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s would be it. We’re not slinging mud on the good name of this model but let’s face it, the sneaker is sort of a standout amidst the sleeker Tinker designs surrounding it on the timeline, a bulky beast that kawsed like it was built for anything you could throw at it with that strapped up exterior. Granted by the time the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s Low did arrive the original silhouette was already far removed from being a true performance yellowing, nonetheless enjoying the lifestyle lane as the latest of Air Jordan’s to rock the convertible kaws on its high life-cycle.

The 2003 introduction of the low started enough like its predecessors in the early 2000’s, with a white and chrome combo unlike anything Mike ever got near as far as Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s’s in his Chicago days. After a few months though things took a turn for the traditional, and the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s Low was blessed with the ‘Playoffs’ black and red based combo shown above. The most noticeable switch up from the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s to the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s Low in terms of the beloved Playoffs colorway was the blue used in the OG getting toned down to a sort of navy tone for the low. Further, the outsoles of each reveal a switch up in crazy camo style patterning made famous by the VIII. Hit the jump with us to get all the views of the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s Low ‘Playoffs’ as well as the Thieves Taps CHPTR-3 For Special Edition Air Ore Jordan 1s in white/chrome, both from 2003, and let us know which was your favorite across the week from this killer string of Air Jordan Lows in Classics Revisited.
