Reebok recently previewed a dope rain camouflage pack for the Shawn Kemp signature Kamikaze II in reference to the Seattle Supersonics star’s dunking-all-over-your-head nickname. Is this new Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ connections ‘Reign’, then, some kind of veiled reference to Michael Jordan’s first retirement? On one hand, the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ connections are self-evident, and maybe if we get loose with the nickname, we can see Kemp and the Sonics in the ’96 Finals on the other side. Then again, Supra has used a variety of Aqua/Grape-ish colorways from the early days, so perhaps ‘Reign’ is a tip of the cap to the GOAT and most influential man in the history of sneakers. In any case, the black waxed suede design is a can’t-miss with teal and purple accents, and they’re available now straight from Supra.
