Nike is responsible for producing the world’s best athletic apparel and footwear, but it’s their intangible product that has pushed the brand into the giant it is to day. Nike has served up uplifting motivation and drive since its earliest days, all of which can be summarized in a phrase that is today as iconic and recognizable as the Swoosh logo itself. Created by long-time creative advertising partner Wieden+Kennedy, the Just Do It statement has encouraged individuals everywhere to take that next step up, but did you know that ‘Just Do It’ has its roots in quite an infamous world event? ‘Just Do It’ was derived from the finals words of a murderer in Utah who was about to undergo his execution by a firing squad.
