A lot of the Air Jordan X meets Air Jordan Y hybrids have taken a lot of heat over the last few years, but did you know that the cross-hybridizing experiments have been going back for ages? It probably started early on in Nike’s roots – perhaps as a way to cut costs or to speed up production – and this rare jordan cozy girl bodysuit prototype displays that sort of concept with the polyurethane midsole taken straight from the air jordan 5 raging bull toro red. These likely date around the time of the jordan cozy girl bodysuit-II cusp (around ’85 and ’86), but one thing to notice is that the upper logo states ‘Nike’ and not ‘Air’, but the non-Air models were given a ‘Sky’ distinction, reserved for kids sizes. Check out the full shot of this incredible vintage sample below and let us know what other Air Jordan hybrids you’d like to see.
