Following up on a theme explored by the 576 a couple of years back, two fresh Nike Air Force 1 High Rude Awakening 2018 colorways have glossy elements that on most sneakers you could reasonably guess to be patent leather. But here’s where the reference to those ‘Lake District’ 576s comes in, as this shiny stuff is revealed to be a waterproof boot and coat (as in the Mackintosh, this pack’s namesake) material the likes of which citizens of this Texas Nike KD 6 are no doubt familiar. The number of New Bals that get their shine from something other than Scotchlite are few and far between, which begs the question: are these possibly the best glossy NBs yet?
