Rejected Supreme Dunk Lows

In 2003 Supreme and Nike letter SB teamed up again for another Dunk tribute, focusing on the original college “Be True” colorways that released in 1986. However, before we saw the high-top versions with the golden star graphic on the uppers, Supreme flirted with this concept – a Low-top Dunk with a golden sprinkling of Nike letter Swoosh logos instead of the stars. Apparently that was a bit over-the-top and might’ve stepped on the toes of the higher-ups a bit too much because this trio of low-tops was effectively rejected, making way for a release of the high-tops as a solo act. Those who remember the release of the Nike letter Free 2 Running Shoes may remember that Supreme released one colorway per day on consecutive days, with employees paying strict attention to the people waiting in line as to prevent a “doubling up”. Definitely a cool story to pick up regarding Supreme’s history, so check out a full shot of what could’ve been and let us know what you think of these bold unreleased samples.
