Jordan Brand’s new Flight Club 80 has the early Tinker Hatfield era as a reference point, so it’s name is a natural fit. But so does the Jordan Brand Brings Back the Jordan Pro Strong for its 20th Anniversary, whose 1990s influences aren’t so easy to pin down. The late ’80s elements are quite clear on this one, with 88’s Air Jordan III lending its signature Elephant print, the tongue shape/branding and midsole tooling. The Air Trainer 1-ish forefoot strap is also something we first saw at the end of the 80s, but the way all these pieces come together is a distinctly modern phenomenon you’ll find in stock now at JB retailers like Afew.
