The OG colorway of the new Nike Air Hoop Structure hybrid basketball shoe has been making a big splash lately in the sneaker world, so we figured it would only be right to take a look back at the classic plains Nike running model that it was based on. As you can see, the White/Black/Teal/Infrared color scheme has been lifted almost identically from the original Air Structure Triax ’91. Elements of the Structure Triax design were already pretty obvious when looking at the Air Hoop Structure, but this side by side comparison of the two shows how spot-on the application actually is.
With the exception of the tongue label and the midsole, the color blocking on the Air Hoop Structure stays true to the original Air Structure Triax ’91 design in almost every way. As we reported a few days back, the OG colorway of the Hoop Structure is available now at PackerShoes, and if you’re lucky, you might still find a pair of the Structure Triax ’91 in stock. Keep reading after the jump for a comparative look at both Structure models.
