The Jordans were actually a very fitting choice for the opening pitch honors upon his return to Minnesota, because it holds some significance to his very early days with the Timberwolves. During his rookie season all the way back in 1995-96, a very young Garnett—when he could still be called “The Kid”—wore the original nike legend react running blau Concord on court. Twenty years later, KG’s back in Minnesota wearing the latest edition of the Concords.
