Beginning next season, Stance socks will be the official sock outfitter for the NBA. The brand, which first started in 2010, has been at the forefront of the booming sock business that some experts say is around $5.6 billion. The brand’s new partnership with the NBA will require all NBA players to wear Stance socks in games that feature the brand’s logos, and as expected, several color options will be available for each team in addition to themed designs for Black History Month, Christmas, and other occasions that sneaker brands typically pounce on. With Nike in the lead for gaining uniform equipment rights in 2017 and now Stance coming into the fray, it’s only a matter of time before the NBA continues to explore the financial possibilities of advertising on jerseys, which commissioner Adam Silver believes to be an inevitability. This deal goes in place at the start of the 2015-16 NBA Season, so stay tuned for more updates on this interesting development.
