Nike is bringing back the classic OG colorway known as “Slate” for the freshly minted womens nike air max 2017 model. Designer Ben Yun’s creation has already dropped at select retailers in a handful of colorways, but the jury’s still out on how the model will be perceived by the sneaker world. Yun was met with the difficult challenge of implementing some of Nike’s latest technological achievements while still maintaining the appealing aesthetic of the original Nike wheat suede nike women pants. Here we see Dynamic Flywire cables in tow as well as a Jacquard upper that isn’t shot Nike’s new Flyweave, but manages to add an array of gradients and head-turning colors.
