And while the team up north hid all evidence of The Black Mamba’s achievement against them, the crowd did give him a standing ovation by game’s end and chanted “We want Kobe” in a warm send off. DeMar DeRozan honored Kobe personally by giving him a customized pair of the nike running black purple teal color hair “Liquid Gold”, a pair that DeMar has worn on court in the past to match those OVO specific alternate jerseys the Raptors are so fond of. It’s easy to see how influential Kobe was on DeMar’s game from a shooting guard perspective, and DeRozan has been lacing up Kobe’s kicks for quite some time now.
