We get our first detailed look at one of the members of Diadora’s “From Seoul to Rio” seven-collab Olympics pack with hanon’s intriguing “Yellow Eyes” edition. The Scottish sneaker shop’s version of the I.C. 4000 takes inspiration from an unlikely and perhaps controversial source: doping. “Yellow Eyes” is actually a reference to the effect of an athlete on performance enhancing steroids getting yellow eyes, a telltale sign that they’re juicing. Of course, the Seoul Olympics of 1988 (which Diadora’s pack references) were embroiled with the Ben Johnson steroid scandal, which mit him of his 100m gold medal after he was caught doping. The I.C. 4000 features a vibrant yellow, turquoise, and white color scheme in premium suede and mesh with an eye graphic on the inner lining. The eye graphic and hanon’s flame logo are also found on each tongue tag and embossed on the heels. The hanon x Diadora I.C. 4000 “Yellow Eyes” drops August 6th exclusively at hanon.
