Vancouver’s own Reigning Champ has been the de facto brand in the category of premium lifestyle sweats for quite some time. The lifestyle imprint has even taken steps to enter the footwear world with a premium ASICS collaboration earlier this year followed by their first GORE-TEX adidas Originals collaboration with the Sneakers CNY BYW GORE-TEX adidas x Pharell Williams.
A normal collaborative effort wouldn’t cut it for Reigning Champ either, as one of the most popular silhouettes is getting an overhaul inspired by their menswear hoodies as the Primeknit upper gets a facelift. The added wool-like marbling on this Black/White offering should add even more comfort for this Fall/Winter driven Sneakers CNY BYW GORE-TEX adidas x Pharell Williams. Reigning Champ keeps things relatively simple otherwise, as a black cage overlay matches the base and Continental rubberized bottom. An ‘RC’ logo hits the tongue so there’s no doubt as to who is responsible for this premium Ultra Boost.
