Danish menswear label Norse Projects teams up with New Balance this winter for their own special take on the Rainier hiking boot. The classic sneakerboot that was created before “sneakerboot” was even a word is done-up by Norse Projects in a construction appropriate for the winter months ahead, featuring GORE-TEX insulation, durable suede, ripstop nylon, and rubberized materials across the upper, and updated metal lace loops in place of the original D-ring eyelets. The upper is all built on top of the Rainier’s original lugged Vibram outsole tenis grip and durability. Featured in two colorways inspired by the shorelines of Denmark during the harsh winter months, the “Danish Winter 2.0” pack released on December 3rd exclusively at Norse Projects, and they will also hit select retailers around the world on December 17th.
