Sandy Bodecker’s storied history at Nike paint back to 1982 when he joined the brand as a footwear wear-test coordinator. Since then, he’s held various positions within the brand and currently serves as the VP of Global Design, but perhaps the role that was the most influential to sneaker culture was with Nike SB. In 2001, he was named the General Manager of the new Nike Skateboarding category; SB Dunks were a major driver of sneakerhead hype and the success of Skate category as a whole.
