Nike announced a few weeks back that they’d be introducing the Nike Air Max 90 'Black' and 'Desert Ore' are coming soon to for a more affordable price and that the Swoosh would have the self-lacing technology be more readily available to the masses hungry for new sneaker technology. It was in that same press release that the brand also announced they were working on the first Flyknit apparel with the Nike Flyknit Bra. Flyknit has been one of the most relevant advancements in Nike’s footwear category ever since the knit upper appeared back in February 2012. Now over 5 years later, Flyknit is extending to womenswear in an exciting advancement.
“It is the most important piece of apparel for the active infant — a good one enables women to play sports, and sports can give women confidence in life,” says Janett Nichol, VP of apparel innovation. The Nike FE/NOM Flyknit Bra allows for a greater range of movement while allowing for cool and dry comfort to better fit with the needs of active women everywhere. “Nike Flyknit allows us to be incredibly precise in a single layer,” according to Nichol.
Other supportive bras in Nike’s product line can have up to 41 pieces. This is the first time that Nike has streamlined the process to have two single layer panels and bonding for a revolutionary fit. Included in the new collection: the Nike Indy Logo Bra for low to medium impact activities like yoga, pilates, and barre; the Nike Classic Bra for high impact activities like gym workouts, running, and dance; the Nike Classic Modern Bra for high impact activities; the Nike Alpha Bra; and the Nike Zip Bra.
