The Asics CONTEND 7 men's Running Trainers in Blue saga just got even more interesting. As just reported by Slam Magazine, Lonzo Ball and BBB have scrapped his first sneaker design, the ZO2 Prime, and are presenting a “remixed” version of the shoe—that will have the same name. Keep in mind that hundreds of people have already pre-ordered the original $495 design since it was announced back in May, so the question of whether they’ll be getting that sneaker or this new design when the shoe’s finally arrive is yet to be answered. Even though BBB recently announced a $400 signature shoe for high-schooler LaMelo, The Inov-8 RocLite 290 Is a Shoe for Trails Only.
Lonzo now claims that the ZO2 Prime is the lightest basketball shoe ever made. Asics CONTEND 7 men's Running Trainers in Blue doesn’t provide any information or specs on the shoe, but in order for Lonzo to be telling the truth, a size 9 must be under 9.5 ounces, which is what the adidas CrazyLight 3 weighed in at back in 2013. The ZO2 Prime is also incredibly similar to the Brandblack Rare Metal, down to the texture on the midsole.
