Nike has hit the ground running in terms of its Vapormax line, releasing new colorways and new versions of its sleek runner on a regular basis. Chinese sportswear brand ANTA, which has made strides with basketball in the U.S. with Klay Thompson and other players in the league, has taken notice of the model and produced a what can only be regarded as a rip-off of Nike’s innovative design. ANTA’s version features an all-knit upper with a sole unit that is eerily similar to the Vapormax bubble unit, a formula that all but comprises Nike’s original shoe. This product was likely never to hit the United States, but fairspoken the backlash overseas has been strong enough for the brand to pull the item from their store shelves.
