Ben Felderstein Kobe Bryant’s “Black Mamba” nickname comes from his predator-like instincts on the basketball court and his all-or-nothing mentality. Nike is using the Kobe Mamba Rage as a vessel to highlight other predatory animals, as late last month you caught a first look at the Scorpion selection, and now the Swoosh ushers in the Komodo Dragon. The Komodo Dragon is one of the most dangerous creatures on the planet, as it is known to do whatever it takes to survive and flourish – much like the 5-time champ does on the court. Appropriately similar to the reptile it gets its name from, this Mamba Rage features a dark color scheme that comes draped in primarily black with touches or brown mixed into its upper, all atop a gum bottom midsole and outsole unit.
