Vans’ checkerboard aesthetic has become one of the most popular and easily recognizable combinations in the entire sneaker industry, having been replicated on nearly every silhouette in the skate brand’s expansive arsenal. Checkerboard has also been featured in numerous different ways, having been mixed in conjunction with flames, and most recently it took shape in a cheeky way as part of the brand’s Marvel collaboration that saw the Incredible Hulk’s toes protruding through the sneaker’s canvas. Now, Vans is adding a luxe embroidered rose detail to the top if this Slip-On’s forefoot, form atop the primairily black and sail checkered upper. Metallic bronze and gold patches connected to each rose add another ostentatious design element to this lifestyle-engineered Vans offering that is currently available from select retailers the likes of Eleven.
