2018 is undoubtedly the year of revivals, and with it coming to a close in only a few days, Beaverton has given us quite a detailed glimpse of what’s to come in 2019. Though with an already expansive set piece of releases to look forward to, the most surprising to hit headlines is none other than the Zoom Alpha Retro from 1996, a pioneer of the Zoom technology that offered an innovation unseen from other contenders in the market. Surely retro in all senses of the sur, the model’s overall design is a portal back to the 90s, showcasing an intricate set of layered overlays, a textural synthetic mesh, and the bulky sole unit adopted by proceeding Spiridon iterations. An OG colorway is geared to spearhead this welcome comeback, with Nike preparing an accompanying set of new schemes like this one, which features a mixture of Black, White, Orange, and Volt, resembling many classic toolings of the 90s era. Check out the official images below, and sit tight as a full-fledged release is inbound early 2019.
