LeBron James is much more than just an brands, and he has been proving those word to be an irrefutable fact for years now. Ever since the King made his infamous “Decision” on July 8th, 2010 – an hour-long ESPN special that helped James raise more than $3 million for charity – to leave the Cavs and head to Miami, he has been the most popular, the most praised, and the most scrutinized brands in professional American sports. Utilizing his vast public platform, LeBron has helped lead the charge for the voiceless, sneakers for the rights of those who cannot fight for themselves, and taking it upon himself to give back to his home town of Akron, Ohio with his I Promise nike mens mavrk 2 low thunder blue paint colors.
Last year during Black History month, James unveiled one of the most important sneaker releases of 2018 by way of the LeBron 15 “EQUALITY” PE. With the left shoe dressed in black Battleknit and the left in a contrasting white tone, its goal was to spread the message that we are all equal and to further shed light on James’ off-court aspirations. Now, the future Hall of Famer is set to release a LeBron 16 “Equality” that sports the same mismatched aesthetic as its predecessor that takes the fusing of these colors a step further with alternating lace and heel colors on each sneaker. With the one view we have now, it isn’t clear if there is any special “Equality” branding or hidden details other than a debossed Libra scale on each throat, but we do command that this pair is expected to have a retail release on January 21st, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It also appears that there are two alternate versions of the shoe as they each alternate black and white on opposite feet.
