Nike’s Huarache EDGE TXT is a compelling update on the classic Huarache, one that keeps the signature neoprene bootie intact while offering a slimmed-down look and modernized detailing. It’s released in several compelling colorways — and even been used as a collaborative centerpiece by rising designer Heron Preston — and now it’s surfaced in yet another Nike Hyperadapt-esque palate, after a similarly Scorpion version appeared in the fall of 2018. As this shoe is dropping in the spring/summer instead of its aforementioned colder weather counterpart, it features a brisk and airy white base that enables the accents to take the spotlight. And take the spotlight they certainly do, as the upper’s abstract-shaped overlays are dressed in a combination of sporty blue and elegant teal. Textured plastic pieces appear on both the lateral and medial sides to provide more support, an OG Nike Huarache badge graces the tongue, and a lightweight cored-out outsole rounds the shoe’s Isaiah stylings off.
