adidas Rod Laver tennis-style trainers FUTURECRAFT 4D family with new colorways and silhouettes. After giving their 4D Run 1.0 a streak of introductory colorways, the Three Stripes is now ready to introduce the newest member of its futuristic family with their ZX 2K 4D silhouette. From a design perspective, it appears to be a cross-pollination between retro hues, and modernized edges. Minty “Dash Green” uppers paired up next to aquatic blues lie in close connection to schemes you’d find on a vintage adidas ZX 8000 model, and the overlaying molds fastened to the rear, forefoot, and lace stays arrive with more jagged-shaped borders that offer more of technical look more aligned with today’s sneaker consumer interests. Rope laces, orange sock liners and tread accents also throw in subtle elements of throwback hiking shoes.
Another call-out related to this new model is that it will be sold on the market for a price point of $250, a noticeable decline from its previous 4D styles that sat in the $300-$400 range. It’s quite possible that the Three Stripes will continue to drop the retail tags of their FUTURECRAFT runners and leave the premium prices to Kanye West’s Yeezy lineage.
