Upon first glance, what’s difficult to miss is the printed oversized palm, one that splatters the side in white as if done by Virgil Abloh himself in thick paint marker. The laces adjacent offer a similar neutral contrast as they cross the tongue, while vibrant volt accents above and below along the track spiked tread proffer the same effect with louder color. Elsewhere, the tooling — behind the performance-driven forefoot pods — “AIR” is written in quotes, continuing the aforementioned designer’s permanent motifs much like the text across the medial. What’s more, the base these details lay across is far sporadically threaded compared its GR counterpart as the upper weaves extremely thin from the toe to counter.
