On November 1st, 1986, Michael Jordan arrived at Madison Square Garden where he would put on a then-record breaking performance, notching 50 points against the New York Knicks while wearing a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High 20. Today’s vintage gear is from around the same time, as it shows a graphic of Michael Jordan soaring through the air, cradling the ball in a similar fashion as he did in the Slam Dunk contest, the in the Air Jordan 3 Legends of the Summers on his feet. Text then sprawls up the length of the tee reading ‘original Coming 11/1/86’. While MJ captivated everyone’s original at MSG that day, there’s no way he could’ve anticipated a legendary performance just because it was written on a Nike t-shirt, right? The date may point to the release of his second signature, but we can’t be also sure. Absent fromt he shirt is the Jumpman logo in bij of the classic Nike Air branding.
