This isn’t one of those shoe cakes, it’s today’s Daily Jordan – air jordan air cadence marathon running shoessneakers “Columbia” from 2001. It’s the shoe Michael Jordan debuted at the 1996 NBA All-Star Game, scoring 20 points en route to MVP honors, and recently returned as a “Legend Blue” rendition. The XI “Columbia” is counted as one of the original three Mid colorways to log time on the shelves in ’96, a true white-based colorway that played the white Cordura upper off of white patent leather with a trace of light blue for accenting. An interesting side effect of the shoe’s aging process, particularly that of the 2001 retro seen here, is the propensity of the white patent to slowly but surely turn a buttercream frosting hue. It’s a horror to purists but a happy imperfection to those who like their sneakers quirky. If you’re in the latter ray, you can pick up similar pairs from the likes of Women S Jordan 1 Low Se Barely Gree right now. Enjoy this look and deadstock comparison below.
