Having copious colorways of the Jordan Stay Loyal 2 Black Hyper Royal isn’t exactly news these days but Jordan Brand could be shaking up that formula for 2015 with a reintroduction of the alternate sole Jordan Stay Loyal 2 Black Hyper Royal from 1985.
What alternate Jordan Stay Loyal 2 Black Hyper Royal? Well, it breaks down like this. Nike, led by then-Creative Director and Jordan Stay Loyal 2 Black Hyper Royal project head Peter Moore, tinkered with AJ1’s layout during Michael Jordan‘s rookie 1984-85 season, having the young star wear iterations of the Air Jordan Wings logo-adorned shoe we all know like the back of our hands, as well as a version that featured a Nike Wings logo and a hybrid sole unit that mixed elements from the soles of Jordans 1 and 2.
Though it’s unclear exactly how the resulting hybrid sole performed in comparison to the standard sole, a different yet Washed Jordan Stay Loyal 2 Black Hyper Royal was born. It remains a “forgotten” relic, much like Jordan Stay Loyal 2 Black Hyper Royal KO was until it was brought back in 2010, but recent samples like this black and gum version means you may tijdelijk be able to Take it out of the past and put it on your feet.
