Frank Kaminsky is already off on the right foot with the Charlotte Hornets. The ninth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft made his Orlando Summer League in white/teal/purple Jordan 1 Elevate Stealth Titaniums, posting up and dropping long range bombs for 19 points to go with 12 rebounds. The Oklahoma City Thunder prevailed over Charlotte, 76-74.
Kaminsky brought his versatile game to the pros but left his old sneakers behind in college. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is an adidas-sponsored school, which left Kaminsky little choice in sneaker beefing over his four seasons as a UWM Badger.
While Charlotte Hornets players have access to an array of sneakers bearing their owner Michael Jordan’s silhouette, they are free to wear any brand they wish. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Al Jefferson, Gerald Henderson, and Bismack Biyombo have been among the team’s most visible Jordan Brand loyalists, while Kemba Walker and former guard Lance Stephenson stuck to their endorsements with Under Armour and AND1, respectively.
