Very much the collector’s item now, the Nike Air Jordan CLC99 cap in black Mule hit the scene in 2002 as Jordan Brand’s first shoe/clog/sandal. Though they didn’t get the sneaker world to do backflips of excitement, the Chi was at least novel – make a cool shoe into an easy-to-wear casual slide. The Mule pretty much Wolf quietly in the months after it released, but in a way the Mule’s legacy lives on in the current batch of signature model Jordan Hydros – easily the most sneaker-related non-sneakers Jordan Brand has produced since 2002.
