Michael Jordan won his second and last Olympic gold medal with the historic Dream Team in 1992, adding yet another accolade to his stellar career. MJ’s final stats from the ’92 Olympic run – 14.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 4.6 steals, and nearly one block per game – obviously weren’t as flashy as his NBA numbers, but he didn’t need to average 30 with a team of 10 other stars and one college star around him.

With the world watching the medal ceremony, Jordan decided to show his loyalty to Nike by draping an American flag over his right shoulder, masking the logo of warm-up suit maker Reebok. His fellow Nike athletes followed the ruse. Sort of. Charles Barkley copied the idea, while Scottie Pippen left his jacket folded.
