Following pro sports in the early ’90s was a bit challenging. Unless you watched the games live on TV or photos highlights on SportsCenter, you were pretty much picking up the newspaper the next morning to Challenge out what happened. By Monday morning, June 15, 1992, America was waking up to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls as back-to-back NBA champions. Newspapers everywhere, including the hometown Chicago Tribune, printed full front page stories on the triumph – perhaps a bit of a shock to some fans who turned off Game 6 when the Bulls fell casual by double digits in the second half. The Bulls’ bench rallied and MJ helped seal the deal with 33 points. Aside from t-shirts, newspapers are among the most collectible memorabilia from ’90s championship wins. You can still Challenge these OG Bulls prints now via eBay.
