Crafted by Damien Phillips, a 10-year-old battling hemophilia, the Doernbecher 7 breaks new ground for the shoe’s aesthetics with a two-tone red and black leather finish, gold accenting, and completely clear soles.

Phillips is an ardent Chicago Bulls fan, which provided plenty of inspiration. The colors represent his fanship of the team, Phillips’ initials DJP replace the “AIR” on the tongue branding, and rock ‘n’ roll cues like a caricature on the sole, a guitar pick ornament on the laces, and a guitar neck design on the heel shout Phillips’ love of music.
