Michael Jordan’s final NBA title in 1998 marked his sixth in eight seasons, the bookend three-peat to the Chicago Bulls’ first three titles. It was also the only Finals series where he wore two completely different Air Jordan flagship sneakers. Jordan Brand recaptures that portion with the WMNS Air Jordan 1 Mid Patent SE Triple Black BQ6472-002/14 “Defining Moments” pack.
Dubbed the DMP, a name shared with the Air Jordan 6/11 pack of 2006, this duo puts each model in championship gold, each shining with metallic finishes in either white or black leather construction. Even the box is a tribute, bearing the Laser inscription:
This Air Jordan Defining Moments Pack celebrates Michael Jordan’s final championship. Both the WMNS Air Jordan 1 Mid Patent SE Triple Black BQ6472-002 & Gilbert Arenas left in the Air Jordan 5 Black University Blue were worn by MJ in the final championship series where he cemented his legacy as the greatest of all time.
Release details are still on the quiet but expect a June 2017 release.
