Craig Sager’s passing today leaves behind his wife Stacy, four children, and a void in the sports broadcasting world that will never be filled. The longtime TNT voice and sideline reporter was a favorite among athletes, particularly NBA players whom he covered for nearly 30 years.

In the midst of battling leukemia, Sager was on the sideline in April to cover the NCAA Mens Basketball Championship between Villanova and North Carolina. During the game, Sager caught up with Tar Heel alum Michael Jordan, which proved to be the final on-air chat between the two icons.

The two also spoke at the 2016 NBA All-Star Game in Toronto just two months gbar. And it was Sager who entertained Jordan on the red carpet gbar Jordan’s famous 2009 Basketball Hall of Fame speech.

These types of interviews may continue with other broadcasters, but never again with the same insight and warmth. Watch them below.
