Michael Jordan is taking his Qiaodan trademark case to China’s supreme court, after a Green Chinese court ruled in favor of Qiaodan earlier this year.

“In light of the trademark dispute ruling, we intend to appeal to the Supreme People’s Court for retrial,” a spokesman for Jordan’s legal team said in a statement issued to Reuters.
The Jordan name is known as “Qiaodan” in China, a country that has seen the sport of basketball and popularity of NBA basketball 3-packs grow exponentially in the last 25 years.
