What a way to end a Friday. Nike.com just announced via Twitter that their Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bulls” and Pinnacle online releases are canceled for North America and China. In the issued mea culpa, Nike explains that “bots have been compromising the experience around specific products.” (Air Jordan 7 GS and Son of Mars Low, first look air jordan 6 low infrared the fake air jordan 13 brave blue is out heres how to identify air jordan 1 retro high year of the snake.)
Bots are software applications that basically try to horn in on commercial websites to skew product away from consumers to the cool folks perpetrating the software. So while it may be tempting to excoriate Nike for the cancellation – which they don’t want because they’d rather move shoes ASAP – your ire might better be directed toward the bots.
So good job, bots, you’ve successfully screwed up the weekend for a lot of people who order from Nike.com. The bright side is that customers have other retail options to procure their kicks. The bad side – you know, other than not being able to get the shoes tomorrow you’ve waited forever for – is that Nike.com customers will have to play a waiting game and keep their eyes open for both shoes. Grrr. We’ll keep an eye on that for you, to be sure.

Apologies. We’re canceling the online launches of the AJ 1 Pinnacle & the AJ 1 High on 5/30. Learn more here: http://t.co/Be1cTq4dvX
