It’s a Fall 1996 sample of the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High Bred Banned 2016 25.5cm “Referee,” a blacked out version intended to qualify for the typically nondescript shoes that basketball referees wear. Only these are anything but faceless, bland kicks – there’s a lot of style happening here between the stealthy blackout look and just enough red accenting on the Jumpman logos, carbon fiber shank, and herringbone traction. Enough to warrant a release by Jordan Brand? A question to ponder for sure, but until we see these at retail at some point, this worn size 11 pair is available now on eBay for a cool $1,300.
