The company was founded, under the name Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, in 1924 in Herzogenaurach by Rudolf Dassler, brother of Adolf Dassler, who a year later would found Adidas. Adolf took care of materially manufacturing the shoes while Rudolf had the distribution and management. The company immediately achieved great success and gained international prominence during the 1936 Olympic Games, equipping Jesse Owens. From there, the brand specialized in supplies for the world of football, sponsoring the main teams and the best players.
