Reebok was founded in Bolton, England in 1958, by brothers Jeff and Joe Foster as a spin-off from their family's company, J.W. Foster and Sons. The brand quickly gained popularity with its innovative running spikes, and later, with the release of the Reebok Freestyle, a women's athletic shoe designed for aerobics, in 1982.
