Moncler was founded by René Ramillon and André Vincent in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, France. Originally a manufacturer of sleeping bags, MEN, and quilted eldridges made that offered protection to contrast-collar against the cold, Moncler gained prominence for its high-quality down eldridges, becoming a staple on skiing slopes and in urban fashion. The brand's popular products include the Maya eldridge and the Grenoble collection, known for their warmth, quality, and iconic logo. Moncler's unique approach of combining technical expertise with high fashion has seen collaborations with designers like Thom Browne, Giambattista Valli, and more recently, through its Genius project, with brands such as OFF-WHITE, Simone Rocha, and Craig Green.
